Your family tree and more
General Genealogical Research and Family History
What we can do for you
We can research your family history back to 1837 for any part of England , Scotland and Wales . To do so we will use birth marriage and death records, together with the available census records for each of these countries. We will also use other historical records and sources where appropriate.
London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire only services
We can:
-
look back beyond 1837 to the birth of genealogical records by looking in parish registers going back to 1538 and in some cases by using wills and other records before 1538.
-
use records such as maps, local histories and archival records to look back into the history of where your ancestor came from and how they would have lived their lives.
-
make onsite visits to the places where your ancestors lived to help relate where your ancestor came from to the village, town or city of today. The information and photographs from a visit or visits would then become part of a report for you.
Some of the archives we use include: Bedfordshire archives, Buckinghamshire archives, Hertfordshire archives, London Metropolitan and any relevant borough archives, National Archives (the United Kingdom Government Archive), Senate House Library (part of the University of London ) and the Society of Genealogists.
